Hakuho Foundation was established as an incorporated foundation in 1970.
We inherited our spirit of philanthropy from Hakuhodo Inc., which, since its founding in 1895 as a broker for advertising in educational magazines, has conducted numerous philanthropic activities in the fields of education and culture—with particular focus on the education of children, tommorrow's leaders.
Since our founding, we have worked to support the nurturing of rich human qualities in the children who will lead the next generation. In line with new laws relating to public interest corporations, Hakuho Foundation (basic fund: ¥31.1 billion; FY 2010) received authorization and began operating as a public interest incorporated foundation in April 2011.
